Last 2000 joung fish were released on 21st of November. To give a good start for for the recovery of the asp population in a restored Laeva river system more than 10 000 asps were delivered to the different river sections. Laeva river in it's natural shape will provide good quality habitats for fish populations. People are interested in fish and information about the action is known to a wide audience. Newspaper "Postimees" produced a news on 22.11.2017. Also, national TV broadcast OSOON made a story about the asp and Happyriver activities. |
WILDLIFE ESTONIA
NGO Wildlife Estonia is established in 2000. Our aim is to protect rivers and other aquatic habitats. We care about the nature, biodiversity and fish in particular.
HABITATS
Springs, rivers and lakes are our common treasure. The more natural status they have the more precious they are.
COMPETENCE
Successful application and implementation of river restoration and fish population status improvement projects. Scientific ichthyology studies with traditional and modern bio-telemetric methods.
