Fish sampling is carried out altogether in 10 oxbow lakes of the upper course of Emajõgi River. Fish fauna data is gathered mostly by using the Nordic multi-mesh monitoring gillnets (mesh size range 5–55 mm). Both the pelagic and benthic gillnets of 1.5 meters high are used.
NGO Wildlife Estonia is established in 2000. Our aim is to protect rivers and other aquatic habitats. We care about the nature, biodiversity and fish in particular.
Springs, rivers and lakes are our common treasure. The more natural status they have the more precious they are.
